about

A compilation of tracks that I initially composed as layouts for a filmscore. The director later decided to only use 2 of my tracks and use all classical russian music instead, so I decided to release my other compositions as an album.

You will hear all sorts of sounds which I collected during two long journey to Russia, from sibirian harbours to end-of-winter-parties in the Ural to futuristic cities in Kasachstan. The second journey was a 3-week long ride by train through 15 russian cities, travelling together with a russian orchestra on their easter tour. The music speaks more than thousand words concerning my impressions of Russia and the feeling I got when visiting mines, factories, deserted industrial areas, ice lakes and of course the classical music I heard and recorded in dozens of concerts.
